About Me

A little about me ...
"I have been an artist for over 50 years, starting my creative journey as a young child who loved to draw and paint. I got my first job at 16, working in a studio illustrating children’s books. From here I then progressed into the greetings card industry where I was an artistic director of a company, working alongside six other artists. I always wanted more for myself and longed to be an independent artist where I could explore subjects and media I am really passionate about.
That’s where The Studio, at The Ferrets Centre for Arts & Crafts, comes in to my story! I have been at the centre now for 12 years and when I first moved here was told to ‘paint your passion’ … that’s what I've been doing ever since!"
